Om The Band Of Heathens
What can the audience expect from the show?
“A great evening of rock and roll music. It’s good for your body and it feeds your head.”
What merch do you bring?
“We’ll have vinyl records, CDs and t-shirts, so there should be plenty to choose from. We encourage you to support the music!”
Which song do you prefer performing live?
“I really prefer all of them, so in an effort to play a lot of different music, we change our setlist every night, to fit the vibe of the room, the night of the week and our particular headspace.”
How have your most recent concerts been?
“Fantastic, the band is in great form and has been playing brilliantly.”
How would you describe your bandmates?
“We are very much like a family and each person brings something different to the group. I think we have a good variety of personality styles and everyone is very well balanced, so it makes for a good time, both on stage and off.”
Which live act (band and/or artist) is your favorite – and why?
“I’m not sure I have an answer to that question, there are too many great bands and great live acts to choose, but the last band that we all saw that really knocked us out was Lake Street Dive, their singer Rachael Price is spectacular.”
What are your plans for the summer and the autumn?
“We’ll be back in Europe in July and be playing festivals and select dates in the US during the late summer and autumn.”
“Accessible to a fault, and exceedingly mellow to boot, it flows with a natural ease usually accomplished by those with far more track time under their belt.” (Blurt Magazine, 2013 – læs hele anmeldelsen)
“It’s the songs that give Sunday Morning Record its lasting power, and its strength in the wake of so much upheaval speaks to the gifts of Jurdi and Quist as songwriters and frontmen.” (AllMusic, 2013 – læs hele anmeldelsen)
“It’s a countrified album in the best sense of what was done in the mid-‘70s with records such as It’ll Shine When It Shines to a certain extent, just with more emphasis on the country end of the pop spectrum. Still, there are enough gems to be found here that, while not the sort of thing that might be readily apparent on anyone’s radio dial, hit the mark.” (PopMatters, 2013 – læs hele anmeldelsen)
